Driver licence types- Queensland

Queensland has a group of ID, which are secure, reliable and durable to identify the drivers and allow them to be in the roads as a drivers.


Learner licence

It allows people to drive a car under supervision for someone who hold an open licence for a minimum a year.

Every Queenslander can apply for a learner licence after 16 years old.


Provincial licence

There are two types of provisional licence: P1 and P2.


Probationary licence

People can acces to this type of licence when the driver were disqualified by court to drive for a specific period of time.


Restricted licence

It is indicate if the driver is convicted by drink driving but they need driving for their living.


Opened licence

People are eligible if they have held a provincial or probational licence for the requiere period of time.
